I finally came around to modify the forums. Before this, my strategy was to keep all games we develop seperated and have seperated forums for each. But for me the administrative overhead for multiple forums was too high, which lead to some games not having a place for discussion at all.
So I took the time and modified the previously walkover-only forum to an mpe forum and added threads for the other MPE-games. Only the cu forum is still spererated. It turns out, merging multiple boards is not so easy - basically not possible unless you dive into understanding the forum software in detail - what is basically what I want to avoid by using a solution offered by someone else. There are request about such feature on the smf forums so if we are lucky, such a script might be developed over time. During my forum changes, I also thought about converting to phpbb - but surprisingly they don't have a ready to use script to merge phpbbs as well. So I stayed with smf and this is the result. Enjoy!
